ASTM E-84 Class A (Adhered) is tested by the American Society for Testing and Materials. This test method is conducted to determine the burning behavior of the material by observing the flame spread. The smoke developed index is also indicated.

California Bulletin 117E is tested by the California Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation. This method is a vertical flame test that measures the ease of ignition and the burning rate when a small open flame comes in contact with the fabric surface for one second.

The light fastness of the fabric is 40 hours Class 5 (AATCC 16A). It was tested by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. The method tests the colorfastness to light.

The religion has its own myths about the creation of the Japanese islands. The creation myth tells of the cosmic creators of Japan, Izanami, the female who invites; and Izanagi, the male who invites. It was said that they gave birth to many nature deities. Izanami’s gave birth to fire god, and consequently she was burned to death and she entered the underworld. Izanagi felt immense grief, and followed Izanami to the underworld too. However, when Izanami sees him, she turned him away because of her ugliness result from her burns. Horrified, Izanagi returned to the living world and cleansed himself of the impurities of the underworld. While he was bathing, Amaterasu, the sun goddess; Tsukiyomi, the moon god; and Susanowo, the wind god, appeared before him. Amaterasu send her grandson to bring order to Japan.
